Dr. Howarth is also skilled in treating complex orthopedic conditions, including all fractures, knee arthroscopy, and shoulder arthroscopy.
With over 25 years of military service in the United States Air Force, Dr. Howarth has a remarkable record of performing more than 5,000 total joint replacements and over 1,000 joint revision surgeries. Specializing in advanced techniques, they are trained in computer navigation, Mako robotic joint replacement, unicompartmental knee arthroplasty, and minimally invasive anterior hip replacement. A particular area of expertise is Hip Spine Syndrome, focusing on the complex relationship between the hip and lumbar spine. This research interest extends to joint revision analysis and evaluating hip-spine interactions.
Additionally, they have served in medical support during Operation Enduring Freedom in Afghanistan, completing 300 surgeries. The surgeon also commits to ongoing medical education and professional development through regular morning medicals.
